Liz Mitsi - Acupuncture
I have a passion for health and wellbeing and a keen interest in helping people achieve their health goals.
To enhance treatment for those with musculoskeletal injuries I have been studying for a Masters in Sports Therapy to enable the ability to assess, diagnose and offer further treatment for those with hobby and work related injuries.
'Liz qualified as an acupuncturist at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading in 2012. Since then, Liz has treated a variety of ailments including sciatica and back pain, treatment for increasing fertility, autoimmune disorders, anxiety and mood disorders and musculoskeletal injuries.
Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture is a holistic approach to medicine whereby the mind and body are treated in unison to create balance and harmony. Fine needles, which are essentially painless, are inserted into pressure points throughout the body. These points stimulate blood flow, encourage endorphin release and balance the body's vital energy, known as Qi.
Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that focuses on the prevention of injury and rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sport specific fitness according to their level. As a sports therapist Liz will be able to assess, diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries using a variety of treatment options, such as massage, joint mobilisations and exercise based rehabilitation.
